A little cooperative woodshop I used to be a part of rented space in an old industrial building that was just starting to renovate. One of the guys got a couple cats from a specialty feral cat rescuer/relocator to help keep the mice away from our unit.
We were told not to expect to see them during the day, to be hissed at if we did, and under no circumstances should we consider these cats "pets".
Double, as in they are sisters from the same litter. Polar opposites from there. The one in the front is almost twice the size of the other one. These happen to be my baby girls and my wife's lazy coworkers
In his poem titled Cats Baudelaire wrote, in part:
"Friends of learning and sensual pleasure,
They seek the silence and the horror of darkness;
Erebus would have used them as his gloomy steeds:
If their pride could let them stoop to bondage."
Albus and Minerva. Minerva sleeps on her back for the entire summer to keep things cool. Albus will sleep anywhere. I put a beer flat on my desk at home because he usually lays across the keyboard or my mouse hand. He frequently jumps up on the desk during video calls and is known by name with my coworkers.
We have two black cats that hate each other. One is lovey dovey with everybody except me and the other one doesn't like anyone but me. This is the one that likes me.
Sometimes I have to lock this guy up in our bathroom because he’s such a maniac and terrorizes the kids. To be fair they mess with him too much and deserve it.
My boy Albus likes to help me work as you can see, pen in hand, (I say “hand” because he’s polydactyl) laying across the keyboard. So to fix it I put a beer flat on the corner of my desk with a blanket and he’ll lay there as long as I stay at my desk.
