Thank youI Moved the thread to pipe talk! Hopefully you will get an answer faster now!
I think it was unspoken till yesterdaySince it’s your first post, just consider it as introducing yourself to the forums! Since you posted this in the new member introduction thread.
Salutations.
Damn glad you’re here!
That Castello looks almost unsmoked.
Is it unsmoked?
I am sure someone here will have some knowledge about that beautiful pipe.
It has Trade Mark under Castello no other marks but does have ivory inlay not white in stem. Thank youTo offer any further explanation it might be helpful to include all the nomenclature on the pipe, if it's the era of creation, for example.
From what you've offered ... the #23 is the shape number. The #3 on the stem is the size of "straw inner tube" that would / could have been used with the pipe.
Does the pipe have any k or K stamping? Or SA, SC, or SS etc? To really nail it down greater information is needed.
Will do thank youWelcome to the forum!
Definitely post nomenclature pictures, both sides. Use a camera phone, flash off, zoomed in, under a bright light for best results.
We have several Castello expert members here, BriarBlues is certainly in that group.
I wouldn't be able to tell you what the stem was made out of I am brand new to this. Thank you.Nice. The ivory stem bar suggests that the pipe is a very early model. Is the stem material acrylic or Vulcanite?
Good afternoon do I need to post the pictures again?I have no clue what I'm doing. Thank youWelcome to the forum!

Thank youNo, they are good, we're just waiting on a reply from knowledgeable Castello member.
I agree that it’s likely from the 1950’s. Trademark is Castello’s lowest graded smooth pipe, regarding grain. “Castello” is mid-grade and “Collection” higher grade. I’ve never had a bad Castello! Nice
