“A” randomly placed A historically is a pipe gifted from Mr Coppo. You’ll also see a full size A or AF in line with a shape number on older pipes usually with a stick bit. Castello’s nomenclature is famously very inconsistent and confusing.

Probably a dealer mark that I’m not familiar wiith. @Cigar Ash Queen showed a Castello earlier today with a C2 or CZ mark that she can probably decipher.

If I bought a really expensive pipe, I would not accept it with any Dealer Stamps/Marks, I don’t like the idea of this.

Nobody better be stamping my Castello pipes with any h x z or v LOL...

I only buy online, no B&M here, so I keep my email receipts.

Whatever the purpose may be for these, companies, carvers, etc., should leave them off, as a choice for customers to decide if they want them our not.
