I am about to be finishing up carving a meerschaum pipe and was wondering how to dry it. I have seen a few different ideas, one being to let it air dry over a week or so, and the other being to dry it in an oven. I would prefer to use the oven method due to my area of the country being very humid most of the time. Can anyone of y'all guide me on temperature and time on oven drying?

Being 1.5 hours later, I suspect it has dried quite a bit already.

I'm not really a great resource on this, but I've acquired two meers within the last month. The beater I've soaked in water seems pretty dry within about 1/2 hour in the on the counter.

The humidity isn't too high in MN yet.

If you have a hair dryer handy: The high heat setting didn't seem to bother my lattice billiard.
