I was in a leather store today buying stain for pipe and they had carnuba cream (for leather). Anyone use it before to buff briar?

Personally I would stay away, I think straight carnuba works fine, I know its safe, so Ill stick with that

I got the idea of using Burt's Bees on my pipes from another guy on the forum that used Carmex, which is a carnauba wax lip balm.

Boy, howdy. You just don't know what else is in a leather product. Just think, clam chowder only mentions clams in its name (and some stuff called "chowder." No telling what that stuff is. Does anyone know if it is animal or vegatable?) has taters, milk, butter, and all kind of other stuff in it.
If you can't buff, you might consider a micro-crystaline wax. A good one is called rennasance wax. I really don't know how it would work, though.

If you're looking for a liquid wax for your pipes, do a search for Halcyon II (for sandblasts) or Paragon (for smooth). They are both available on Iwan Reis, I believe. Wax on, let dry, buff off... done.
Neither is nearly near as nice as stick carnuba, but they're good for a quick maintenance shine.

I do the same, I say maybe once every 7ish smokes per that pipe
So I am assuming its a quick rub on the bowl and shank and rim careful to not get any in the bowl and then let the pipe set? Do you leave it on or wipe it off? Sorry for the noob quesitions?

I've heard of using EVOO on stems, but on the pipes themselves?
Unlike wax, EVOO will turn rancid when exposed to air. I know a lot of guys swear by it, but I would never put EVOO on my pipes.
