Go Sox!!! Was lucky enough to be at games 1 and 2 sitting 10 rows behind the Red Sox dugout!!!! What memories!!! It will be awesome to be able to win it at Fenway!

You must have spent your next year's TAD on those tickets. I'm jealous. Go Sox!

I didn't want to post on this thread for fear of jinxing my Sox.
Being a life long fan who grew up 2.5 miles from Fenway, I have seen the horrors of thinking we had it won( 1986) to only lose it in dramatic fashion. I only breathed a sigh of relief when the final strike was called.
This team was a team of destiny, much like 2004. It was a great run and congrats to the Cardinal fans, you were the class of the NL and really only lost because of the lack of hitting with runners in scoring position. It was very gratifying to beat the Cards as they broke my young heart in 1967 when Bob Gibson dominated my Sox. The two best teams played and put on a great show for all baseball fans.
I have now seen the Sox win it all 3 times, my dad never got to see one as he died in 1998. I know he is cheering from up high as he was a devoted fan.

You nailed it.
Lucky, that's all.
Last night when the score was 3-0, and John Lackey got in trouble with two on base and no out (5th inning ?), and then retired the side without giving up a run, I knew it was their's. There was too much heart in the Red Sox all season long to let it get away. Go Sox!
