Walt is a craftsman with superb taste. You WILL NOT get a pipe like that at that price anywhere. Plus it will be a Great smoker too. I'm sure he takes orders.

Thread back from the dead. I was trying to find some rustication techniques and I found this. Holy hell! These are some of the most beautiful blasted pipes I've ever seen. Just fantastic. My dog chewed on my Irwin's Canadian! No saving the finish. I'll have to rusticate it. Anyone have any techniques that you would be willing to share?

I managed to snag one of Walt's Canadians recently with a black suede finish. One gorgeous piece, quite elegant, and an excellent smoker of course. Walt is the capo di tutti capi blast wise.

Though I've seen the suede finish before, Mr. Cannoy's pictures, though dated, make me want to not forget him when I go pipe shopping again.

I had the pleasure of holding and examining Darwin's Suede two weeks ago.
It's drop dead gorgeous.
To misquote one of my favorite authors, “It was a pipe. A pipe to make a bishop kick a hole in a stained-glass window."
