Canadians: Where Do You Get Your Pipe Cleaners?

7 years ago I bought about 4,000 Pipecleaners from Smokingpipes.com on Black Friday.
The dollar was near parity too.

On the other hand buying those locally would have cost about $4,000.

I use to order from SP, but it seems the shipping had increased dramatically since then. $20 for 6 packs! The shipping is more than the pipe cleaners!! Probably still cheaper than getting them here

I probably just need to go in with my beard on, that way they'll see all my grey hairs and realize I'm a serious pipe smoker. I typically only go in for a bit of Kendal Twist now and then.

You used to get cheap shipping from the main us retailers. Now I’ll get them from a b&m if needed. That being said it loaded up on my last trip to the states before the pandemic when I had an order shipped to my hotel ?

Holy ? that’s crazy. Converting to US, that’s $20 and change!!!! I’ve always added cleaners every time I order tobacco and I’ve over 10,000 regular, and about the same in bristle. Should make a run to Canada and sell them 100 for $12.50. Win win.? Converting to uS, that’s around $10.... or 500% markup?

I can just see RCMP at the border. “Anything to declare?” “Yeah it’s Bat ? crazy that I’m earning a living bootlegging pipe cleaners to the Great Wide North?

That being said, I just ordered as many packs as I could afford of Vauen cleaners, regular and churchwarden, from tobaccopipes.com, the only ones who carry them this side of the pond. Vauen's cleanes run circles around Brigham's which is what I get locally.

Just get them from Amazon lately. They got Randys or Zen for similar price to a b and m. When I'm in town(vancouver) I'll grab them from a smoke shop or convenience store that sells a wide variety of weed paraphernalia.

I don’t care for the Zen, they leave too much fluff in my pipe. I prefer the tapered BJ Long’s.

I just checked my records and it was actually a total of 15,000 Pipecleaners shipped from Smokingpipes.com back in 2014. Lifetime supply.
I'll be moving those to some surplus ammo tins this week.

If you buy $100+ worth of pipecleaners at a time the ratio of shipping costs drops to 50% the value of the Pipecleaners.
Not amazing but probably still the best deal on the market (again wait for a sitewide sale).
