Yes this has happened a few times in the past 6 months to me. I spoke with a customer service rep at another vendor who received the compliance letter from the cbsa. I would rather order from an honest vendor and get my tins than risk seizure (which has happened). End of the day I have very few options to buy locally, even when duty is assessed it’s cheaper to buy from the US. I think the internet has given all of us a spoiled attitude when it comes to tobacco pricing. I’m sure one day it will all come to an end. But until that day... *click* order placed lol

Somehow I still believe they would allow or make tobacco transaction between the Eu countries more acceptable where average tobacco prices are already everywhere on quite a high level. Spain is one and only country in western Eu where prices are still kept in reasonable range thanks to their lesser taxation.

Today I sent Mike Thompson one tin of tobacco, nothing expensive or aged. I marked the paperwork "gift", "tobacco tin" with a $10 value. It will be interesting to see if Mike receives it...if not, no big loss.

And if his name/address gets flagged in CBSA computer, his inbound packages will be getting "special" attention from now on.

^ Books are not a hobby!
And doesn't Canada have a Ministry of Truth that regulates such potentially dangerous and subversive items?
