It’s more like a stone than a foam. More substantial. It’s also a naturally mined as a creamy, tan color as opposed to chalky white. It’s denser and will take two lifetimes to color, so that’s actually nice and it’s a common practice to blacken the rims. Same great smoking characteristics. Just feels more solid.What do you like about African vs Turkish meerschaum?
You need to find estates or new old stock.I just Googled around for a few minutes, not long. The little I read said this Meerschaum came from Tanzania, and it’s no longer minded.
I couldn’t find any places selling African Meerschaum, is it still readily available or hard to come by?
