it is an old pipe but one day it was a very good one with an excellent filter. I was thinking If I could repair it and try some roll your own tobacco in it, because I don't want to ruin my good pipes.

Yeah, that looks like a pretty serious crack. I think you should send it on to that big pipe rack in the sky :puffy:

That pipe has seen a lot of hot bowls. Its rather scorched and hey there is a huge crack. I knew it was a rihtorical question.
Ok if you want to fix it first put it in a vise.

Salute the pipe and give it a nice tap.

Then swing your heaviest hammer and take that MO FO out.

Go buy a basket pipe of a cob.

Fixed.

I gotta go with Ed on this one if you want a pipe to beat up a bit then get yourself a couple of cobs it will be cheaper than the repair work. of course if your not careful the cob bug might bite you :)

If it was just a monor crack it could have been filled but that is split through and i see another crack forming its fire wood now save the stem and disreguard the rest.
