Hi everyone,
I am really desperate for some responses from smokers on a project about smoking, could you spare a minute and finish this questionnaire? That would REALLY help me a lot, thanks!

Hi chchwai, thanks for your academic interest in us.
You might help yourself get more folks to respond if you share a little bit about the purpose of the survey, who it is being completed for, where it will be published or utilized, and any hypotheses/assumptions you're trying to address. More information is good.
I look forward to learning more.

Aside from the duplicate post, I think pruss brings up a good point - you're looking for information from "smokers" especially teen smokers. I'm sorry but you don't find teen smokers smoking pipes or cigars. Premium tobacco is out of the price range generally and they are usually looking for cigarettes or vaping.
What is this survey study being used for, why are you collecting it, what are you trying to prove or disprove?

What is this study about?

These days, there is an increasing trend in risk taking behaviours of adolescents. Among which mostly are addictive in nature, a case in point would be teenage smoking. In light of this, this study is designed to examine the chief reason that leads to teenage smoking.

This tells me all I need to know.

i didn't read it but... Here are some answers...

1. Do you smoke? Are you kidding? I tend to smoke especially when I light myself and I am still a little wet.

2. How often do you smoke? As often as I like, unless burdened with facist no smoking signs or filling out surveys.

3. Would you say that you are addicted or have a habit? Yes the same way my wife is addicted to shoes or my daughter addicted to her iPhone.

4. Are you or would you consider a cessation plan? Yes, immediately upon expiration... I will consider it.

5. Have you experienced any ill side effects from your tobacco use? My goodness YES!; my back account suffers dearly when I get low on inventory.

The study doesn't say it outright, but of course it's centered around cigarettes...as usual. The common wisdom is that whoever smokes, smokes cigarettes. The study is flawed from the outset tarnished by bias at inception.

First, thanks for all the feedbacks!
This study is to investigate the causes of teenage smoking, which is the topic of my English research report. The report will not be published publicly. And the hypothesis I made was that peers are the main reason that teenagers started to smoke. I posted here since I know there are a lot of smokers here, no matter in the form of pipes, cigarettes or whatever. So I hope that you as smokers could answer the questions in a smoker's point of view. It does not matter how old are you.
And sorry for the flaws of the study, English is not my first language since I am an international student. And sorry for the duplicate posts too, I didn't mean to spam or anything, I just thought to let more people notice my request.

Chum your study is flawed. The site is called 'pipes magazine' which would indicated it is populated by pipe smokers who by and large are a peaceful group of people until riled by someone with the command of English approaching that of Cato from the Pink Panther films. If English is not your first language what is heavens name are you doing putting together studies? I would seriously doubt the wisdom of your faculty Dean thereof. Perhaps you should consider the basis of your study. It involves cigarettes. Do you see any sections on this forum that deal with the joys of cigarettes? You don't do you and the reason for that is there isn't such a sub forum. You laziness is so self evident as to be breath taking. In your own words 'I posted three times to get your attention' which indicated a juvenile approach phrased around annoyance and whining. I am sure you do the same to your lecturers about your grades. Well young man f**k off and do your research properly and use your own brain by google searching 'teenage cigarettes consumption' or perhaps 'Roll Your Own' etc. Use your own brain and not everyone else's! As an after thought welcome to America and have a nice day. :nana:

How am I not doing it properly? I am asking for some help politely and is it necessary for you to be so rude and mean? It's really surprising how people on the Internet judges and instantly sees me as a lazy person. If I WERE lazy, I would have made up the data, instead of going around asking for genuine feedback and getting such insulting comments.

Sorry chchwai but you have to understand that the pipe smoking community is under extreme stress these days from the anti-smoking obsessions of the broader culture. Therefore it makes us very nervous and even angry when input such as yours is requested because this forum, and others related to it, have been burned in the past by people seeking information for a "study" who've been seen to use such information only to bolster their pre-determined anti-smoking prejudices. In any case Condorlover is right that you won't find any information on young teenagers who smoke pipe tobacco here, or anywhere really, because their numbers are practically non-existent therefore the sample would be far too small to derive any meaningful statistical conclusions.
