Check the lid to see if it has an intact plastic/rubber seal to keep air out. Also make sure the jar is clean and no odor unless you want to flavor your tobacco. Otherwise it should work. I prefer wide mouth jars for my daily smokes just because it is easier to access.
I'm not entirely sure how to tell if the seal is intact or not, these aren't the most preferred jars but I have a bunch of them that my brother gave me and it would be good to put them to use.
I'm not a fan of the one piece lids. They will work however. If it was me, I'd go to Wal-Mart or a similar store and buy a box of 2 piece lids & rings--- the kind used for canning foods. They will fit the jar pictured, only cost a couple of bucks per dozen.......... ::
I'll probably get other things at some point, perhaps the lids or other jars entirely,I just want something better than little baggies since it's all I have currently, thank you for the help!
Their okay for short term storage, like blends you smoke on a day to day basis, but definitely not for long term storage. Their better then plastic baggies.
