I'd like to your best colored meerschaum pipe(s), how long you've had it, how often you smoke it, the maker and if you have any tips for developing a nice patina. If you don't, no problem.
I posted this photo in my Chicago Pipe Show thread, but it fits here. I've been smoking my billiard for nearly a year now, and I smoke Orlik Golden Sliced and McClelland Christmas Cheer in it several times a day. It started out white as the other one.
I only have a couple of meers, and this one is the oldest. a CAO from about 1987. I haven't smoked it that much, but over the years I guess it adds up. Starting to look good now.
I forgot to mention. Did any of you perform the process, where you smoke the pipe heavily (2+ bowls a day) for two weeks, then set it aside for 1 month, and rinse and repeat?
I picked up this monster in my local antique store. I don't think I'll every smoke it but will probably sell it one day. For now I just enjoy having it in my collection.
