It's not so much about being able to read it, it's about possibly being able to identify the shape of the stamping. One letter or one marking could be distinct enough for someone familiar with the brand to identify it.I've looked at it with a magnifying glass. I still can't make it out.

Definitely looks like the hand scrawled signature was done with an engraver.it looks like a garage job.
This actually isn't a bad idea. A washable marker would probably fill in the indentation in the signature and wipe away from the flat surface on the shank. Even if it's homemade, it could help you come up with the name of whoever made it.I think if you will mark this signature with thin black marker you can see more than now.
Sorry, I'm not looking to sell. ?I give you 50 bucks for it. It also could be the third pipe carved by Teddy Knudsen and could be worth 7-10 grand.
Sorry but I have no clue other than it is a pretty pipe and I will up my bid to 100.00 if you show pics of the chamber.
on or pencil against it. I just recently identified an antique store find this way. An engraver is a person who does engraving using a graver.Definitely looks like the hand scrawled signature was done with an engraver.
