Trying to figure out if it's authentic, what a decent offer would be, and who to send it to clean it up (missing white dot). Supposedly 1930s or earlier?

Can anyone help verify this old Dunhill for sale?

Yeah it's a Dunhill. Don't see many with a silver rim ring.

Thanks, I think he wants $150 obo, so I'm glad I asked.
Looks like it missing about half the height of the bowl and was fitted with a silver rim to prevent more loss.
I don't know much about Dunhill pipes, but I do know about pipe shapes. And I agree this one looks topped, or chopped er something.
Just my opinion---I'd pass. Nothing "collectible" here. Very, very beat up. If you're after a Dunhill you can still do much much better, even at the $150 the seller was asking.
FWIW, it looks like the shape numbet started with "3", and half the F/T (meaning fishtail stem) is still there.

I can make out "Dunhill" and "Patent" in the pics you posted.
I think for $50 (as @bluegrassbrian suggests a starting point) you'd get a good smoking pipe for the price. For $50.01 I think you'd be getting ripped off.

The cap is not original to the pipe in my opinion. If you are looking for something to smoke I agree to stay low. I'm not sure it will really have any resale value if that's why you are looking at it. I personally wouldn't give them more than 30$ for it but that's my opinion.
Good advice above. Sure looks well loved. I suspect it was the owners only Dunhill and smoked within an inch of it's useful life.

Honestly, I wouldn't touch that pipe at any price. That pipe is done and deserves a rest after a lifetime of "loving" abuse. For $150 anyone could do MUCH MUCH better.
T is for tired and worn out, the F is for fuc.. well you get the idea of F/T.
