Can’t Post Pictures on this Site After Upgrading to new iPhone Model

So the title of the thread pretty much says it all. My new phone shows a pale outline of the top panel (B, I, three dots, clip, photo etc) but none of them can be clicked on. So I can’t change the text style or insert images. The site works normally for me from my tablet and various pcs; it only doesn’t work when using my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Any ideas how to fix this? Try a different browser like chrome. I have that problem with my iPhone on a different forum and have to use Chrome to post pics. Safari works on this forum though.

Jon I had the same trouble and its to do with how good your camera is now as opposed to your old phone. Your new phone takes pics that have to many Megs/Gigs/Pixels what ever they are and the site rejects them at upload. I haven't found a complete work around yet but the biggest image you can upload is large format which is one down from the level you camera snaps at. Try to email an image to yourself and it will ask you what size you want the image to be, small/medium/large/original. this allows you to see the problem and adjust but I haven't found anywhere on my desktop to amend the pic size yet so if anyone knows I guess there are two of us that want to know.
A lot of the time I get lucky though so it must be adjustable at the phone somehow too but I'm starting to feel very old with some of this new fandangled stuff I can tell you, supposed to make life easy they said......

Jon, if the image/file size is the problem, there are a multitude of apps for resizing photos. I haven’t tried any, I’m still on a 7s.

No, it’s something else. I can’t even attempt to insert an image or make text italic or boldfaced. The symbols are there but faded and can’t be clicked on. If the forum was an app I’d be looking at app-specific permissions and settings. As it is I’m unclear where to look. The irony is I can’t post a picture showing what I mean until I’m back at my desktop (I’m traveling through tomorrow afternoon). Grrrrr.

By the way this is my fourth iPhone over the last 17 years and I’ve never had this problem before.

I am only moderately tech-savvy so I’m sure it’ll turn out to be something stupid; or more precisely something that highlights my stupidity.

Good idea. I’ll have to bring my cane or maybe Jesse’s Barling magnum since I find kids pay more attention to me if I have something to brandish.

Down a different browser like Chrome or Firefox. See if that works. If so, there’s something in safari that’s not gelling.

So after a few months of this thorn in my side it’s fixed. Thank you @ofafeather! My son just said the same thing. For reasons that surpass my understanding what worked on the Safari browser for 17 years doesn’t work now, at least on my phone. It’s probably fixable but honestly I don’t want to waste my dwindling time on Earth doing a root cause analysis when a perfectly good workaround exists. So I downloaded the Chrome app and the problem is solved. So for me Chrome will be my dedicated point of entry to the wonderful world of pipesmagazine.com.

All of those refinements to type never worked on my iPhone, but uploading images was never a problem. Wonder if it could be some sort of OS incompatibility, if not the browser.

EDIT: Aha! So it was the browser after all. A lot of things that don't display properly on my computer work just fine with Chrome. I might try adding it to my iPhone.

Although you got it working now, are you sure you don't have this button clicked under the 3-dot menu on the right? Problem might not be the browser...
