As the title says... Im a huge fan, Im 48 and Calvin and Hobbes still makes me laugh. Anyways... perusing the inter webs just now and saw this clip again, and as I mentioned, I laughed. :lol:
Calvin & Hobbes was a great strip, and I wish Watterson had never stopped producing it. Also loved Bloom County and Far Side. Offbeat humor without resorting to crudity can be hard to come by.
Definitely one of the best comic strips out there. If you recall the dance sequence on the back cover of the 10th Anniversary Book, here it is animated into a gif. It's a strange experience to see Calvin and Hobbes, well, moving.
That comic got me through Desert Storm. One of our captain's was a fan and his wife sent over 2 or 3 "books" filled with chronological comic strips. It was the best. My favorite of all times is still this one:
