I think it’s been mispronounced so much that it’s become proper. You know, like when people misuse a word so often “they” just throw in the towel and make it official. Can’t fix stupid.I have always said Lat-a-KEE-a, but I think the correct way may be La-TAC-ia.
You are rigth sir. exactly like that.EX RA-di-keh is how the Romans woulda said it. So, if it's Latin that is correct.
If it's Italian, then EX RA-dee-cheh. Please fully pronounce the last E and make it sound like the e in bed, and never like the e in be.
Renault is RE NO, the e like the e in bed.I only think or write those words, so pronunciation is not an issue.
I'm much more concerned with Peugeot and Renault, not to mention the infamous Dacia, which noone seems to be able to pinpoint.
someone in another thread said that in Syria its pronounced Loth-a-kee-a.I think it’s been mispronounced so much that it’s become proper. You know, like when people misuse a word so often “they” just throw in the towel and make it official. Can’t fix stupid.
The Chevy Nova didn't sell well south of the border !Renault is RE NO, the e like the e in bed.
Peugeot is Po Yot.
French is the most difficult to pronounce of the Romance languages.
Latinos manage with relative ease between Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, because the vowels have the same sound, but French is hell itself.
