Calling Out Dunhill Fans - What Would be a Fair Price

A buddy of mine offered to sell me the pipe and tamper in the pic. While we did manage to agree that the Dunhill Tamper would be fairly priced at EUR 50 (which I am not yet sure I am willing to pay for a darn tamper), I am quite interested in the pipe. Ebay prices range so much, and my knoledge of Dunhill pipes is so little, that I have decided to ask you good folks. The pipe is a 3208 Bulldog este made in 1990, size 3. Condition as can be seen in the pictures ... so what would be an honest price?

I think ashdigger has a reasonable price. The trouble is, the starting prices on new White Dots are so inflated that people expect to get high prices on resale, so this guy might want $400, and he might be able to find a buyer too. smokingpipes.com has a lot of Dunhills on their estate pipe pages that may give you a quick feel for comparable sales, if not that exact pipe. If you offer ash digger's price, and he accepts it, I'd buy it ... well, I wouldn't, but probably you should, assuming there are no underlying problems the photo doesn't show.

Well .. I pulled the trigger. EUR 200 for both the pipe and the tamper. I feel like I got a good deal, and my pal was happy about it also. It smokes like a charm !

Good price taken the fact You've got the tamper in addition, truth to be told I haven't seen no older Dunhill in descent condition selling less than 100e,and Congrats on your new acquisition ,I'm positive it will serve you for the years to come
