@OzPiper what goes better with hen, a Riesling or a Sauvignon Blanc? 🍗 🍾
I'm going to be at odds with a lot of wine drinkers in saying I am not a fan of most Sauvignon Blancs. I dislike the cats pee and green lantana (a noxious weed in Oz) characteristics found in a lot of Antipodean Sav Blancs

Riesling is my favourite white wine - German(esp from the Mosel), Austrian and Alsatian.
We produce a lot of good dry Rieslings in Oz.
A dry Riesling is a great match for a roast chook (Oz speak for chicken)

We have great Asian food in Oz, and a German Kabinett with its slight residual sweetness, low alcohol and lovely acidity is well-suited to Vietnamese, Thai and Malaysian cuisine

List of approved cigars?? No.
Will simply be a nice polite message on the online retailers.
“We don’t ship to CA”.
I’m skeptical that cigar e-tailers will be willing to eliminate their California sales. Let’s see what Arnold does.

Well, you're right. I was chuckling at the prospect of a half-million cigar smokers crawling across the desert to Vegas just for a whiff of a fine stick. But even given that image, the do-gooders will prevail and the customer and retailer will be the ones to suffer.
How long before the state sets up check-points on the major roads and stop vehicles to search for "contraband" cigars and pipe tobacco?

Are Swisher Sweets at risk in California?

I think getting rid of the cheap cigars is the point of these new cigar laws.

I know all the flavored ones are gone there, and in other places.

They think they'll save black people from smoking blunts if they outlaw cheap cigars, supposedly.

Similar to the menthol bans.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cigar lobby is cheering this stuff on.

I was in CA for work recently (got a chance to visit Telford’s on the day of their pipe club meeting - total serendipity and met some wonderful, charming and welcoming pipe smokers there) and I was astounded to see the gas station behind-the-counter-shelves stocked full of unflavored nicotine pouches. Grey cans of Zyn, I tell you! What the heck.
