Update:

No cork insert to seal the bowl off yet but I have given it a few smokes though. Slight leakage at the bowl/gourd area. Transition from gourd to bamboo needs something ??? anyway, Progress!

They are hollow. Just full of seeds.

Yet a bit of more work, Im on a roll today! The bowl had a fair amount of char around the edges due to it being from an old estate pipe so I did a little hiding there. Still not satisfied with the transition from Gourd to Bamboo shank. Brain-Storming on the Gourd. hmmm

sorry texan, missed your post. The gourds were from last years crop and already cured out. Ill grab a pic from one of the other gourds when I cut it.

thx Braggermnan. Its pretty special. My own little collectors item Hahaha. It got plenty of little flaws I see, things I was thinking of doing but it was time to let go,time to let it have wings. I smoke it daily. The button is a bit huge but sure hangs well when I dont have the dentures in. Smokes pretty darn good I'll have to say.
