C&D's the Old Ones Series

I'm intrigued by Cornell & Diehl's the Old Ones series. It's a collection of at least six different blends that are inspired by the writings of HP Lovecraft.

As a lover of tobacco, reading (when life permits), and Lovecraftian writings (most movies were meh and could have been better ... I'm looking at you Lurking Fear), I want to try them all eventually.

I've seen some comments about Visions of Celephais and Dreams of Kadath, but none of the others.

Has anyone completed the series? Are there 6 or more? Was From Beyond a part of the series? What are your thoughts on the blends you have tried?

They’re certainly different. If you’re in the mood for strange. I liked the ones with Katerini, as I don’t have anything else with it, and it’s quite distinct. The grape in Celephaïs is cloying. Mostly I crack one open rarely as a novelty.

I have Dreams of Kadath and Mad Fiddler Flake. Tried a few bowls and put them back in a jar. They are different, I think you may have to be in the mood for them.

 

[Bamfdor]

Popped a tin of four year old Mad Fiddler Flake this weekend. Had a really nice tin note, but unfortunately, that was the best part of it. Flavor seemed to burn off rather quickly and was left with a muted clove taste for the rest of the bowl. Into a jar it went.

Dreams of was interesting but would not buy again.
