C&D Founding Fathers Review

I just picked up some C&D Founding Fathers from smoking pipes.I must admit that I was disappointed. It has a solid Virginia base but there is a strong fruit casing flavor that seems very over powering. It feels misplaced to me. What I mean is that the fruit flavor is not married to the tobacco. Not a very good blend for me. Too much fruity stuff going on. I have to score C&D Founding Fathers 3 out of 10. Happy Smoking from Downeast.

Sorry to hear you didn't like it, Aromatics are just really not for me but if you are looking for good ones, all the pipers I know and that smoke Aromatics seem to really like Boswell stuff - not bad reviews either - Christmas Cookie for the win, hehe

I'm not much of an aro guy either, but 2 that I did enjoy and came highly recommended were:
Mac Baren 7 Seas Black

Mac Baren Halberg Red
They are aros that are lighter on flavoring and more on the tobacco.
JimInks gave both 4 stars on Tobacco Reviews.

I haven't tried any C&D aromatics. I think of them as burley non-aromatic blend meisters.
