I believe so. Because some people had to raise a fuss about a few pictures pertaining to the blend... on a forum chock full of pictures and photos.

I really like latakia, which is simply in the background of this blend, but I don't think I'd want any more in this one. It is perfect just the way it is.

I think you nailed it. Although I often enjoy lat heavy blends, the propotion of latakia in BF seems just perfect to let the rest of the magic shine

Yup. That's what I thought when I posted a picture of Alyson Hannigan. It went downhill quickly from there, especially on my end. I'm not pointing fingers by any means. I'm complicit in getting that thread tanked. I just want ONE thread, ONE MEASLY thread where we can be as silly as we like and post huge pictures. I don't have a Porsche, a yacht, a summer home in The Hamptons... But I DO have bandwidth. So someone can't scroll for a minute or two cause they are on their smartphone... Cry me a river. We can't post videos anymore because of bandwidth issues. Just one thread dedicated to huge Frigate pics, redheads, maybe even tobacco occasionally. That is all I ask. I'll say no more.
BTW, I didn't jump ship...there is a silly lightbulb thread going on... so silly lightbulb cat.

I really enjoyed that thread Mayfair. I felt like I saw some new sides of my brothers of the briar and hey we both like Alyson Hannigan! How would we have known that otherwise? :lol: We had at least 3 girls from the Whedonverse by the time that thread was finished (errr..closed).

tried black frigate, man I liked it, it reminds me a lot of penzance, love the whole aspect of taking apart the cake and preparing my smoke, it is smooth dark and delicious, I did enjoy it a lot, will have to get more tins of this stuff.

Black Frigate has a robust taste; I find the burn a little uneven and spotty, but when I have a taste for it, that doesn't stop me.

BF is a nice, rich, earthy tobacco that I enjoy; I have several tins of it. But there are 2000 other tobaccos out there and maybe a hundred I would put into the same class of good, rich, deep flavor and quality! Then there are those who claim that C&D makes nothing but crap. But I'm more interested in unlocking the process by which I can make something /similar/ to BF from available bulk tobaccos should BF ever become unavailable or just too pricey. ITMT, when I see all this over-the-top fanaticism over what started out as a unique and tasteful theme by one person, it reminds me of the rampant fervor originally created when Cult BRM first came out. Lots of people were discovering Cult for the first time then just as many are discovering BF now, but the true test of a great tobacco isn't what you think of it after your first bowl or tin, it is what you think of it after many tins or years. If you STILL like it or it grows on you, then you really have something special.
