I can't resist a gross pun. Once "Va/Per" was out there, it was only a matter of time before "Bur/Per" became "Burper." Heh heh.

Perique is my most expensive blender. I only got some yesterday, and have been experimenting.

I find that even a small amount has a large effect, and a very positive one at that.

Since I bought all these blenders to save money, I don't imagine I'll use the perique as a major component.

It does seem to have a willingness to play well with others, and has already transformed a couple of my experimental blends (thrown together by handfuls, or so) into much nicer renditions.

I think I may be ON to something. :D

I like throwing in under 10% as a sort of background support for the existing flavors, giving them a little sweet/fruity/peppery, but over that, it becomes a major player. I guess that term "condimental" has meaning after all.

I didn't even get the burper joke at first. I sometimes get the burps as opposed to hiccups with strong tobacco, so I figured it must be referring to the strength of the blend at first.
That sounds like a tasty blend, though.

Bur/Pers seem to work best with at least 20% dark or red Virginias. But that's a work in progress, not definitive.
