Burning out every pipe I own

I've been smoking since I was 22 and never burned out a pipe and I'm 77 now. I don't for sure what your problem is but it is definitely YOU. Pack lightly and slow to hell down!!

Have to agree with @kcghost . I am not the most experienced curmudgeon on the forum, but after 1000's of bowls I have to burned out a pipe. I smoke hot and abuse many pipes. I am sure it happens, but not that often.

Buy a meer and try to burn that one out!

Get rid of the tequila and honey. I've broken in hundreds of pipes, never a problem. I just load the pipe and smoke it as usual. Change things around. Definitely quit the tequila. Use a bic. Dry your tobacco more, pack looser. Pipes simply aren't that fragile, you either had the worst run of luck in pipe smoking history or you're doing something wrong. I'd tend towards the latter.

So the OP is trolling,,,?

I burn a hot pretty fast puffing pipe, then take breaks when the bowl gets hot and have never burnt one out. I have got the occasional side cracks in the bowl though, doesn’t bother me in the least, the cake will slowly fill it in anyhow.

And a lot of us gave you advice, like holding the pipe in your hand so you can feel when the pipe is getting too hot.

So I might puff five times at a time.

Stop doing that!
