Looks good! There was an old man at home that grew a bit of cane and made molasses. He had mules that would power the cane mill to get the juice and a big kettle that he would build a fire under to make the molasses. We would buy some molasses to mix in the feed for my show cattle. You must be on the east side of Louisiana, yeah? I see lots of cane fields when I fly into NOLA and drive down to Larose for work.
When I read the thread title I thought some hooligans set fire to your walking stick as a Halloween prank.
