I would disagree with almost all of this. Smoke different blends.
Some tobaccos will burn you, some wont. But in my experience usually it's a chemical burn and there is no slowing down or drying out that will help. MacBaren's all burn the crapola out of me. But I can smoke most Stokkebye's without any issue at all. Samuel Gawith's seem to be easy on me too....
The smoke coming in to your mouth will seldom be hotter than a tepid cup of tea.... so it's unlikely that... If EVERY tobacco burns you, you're doing something wrong. If it's certain tobaccos, just stay away from them.
