Looking for a basic benchmark straight burley blend? Look no further than Uhle's Blend 00.
Don't just take my word regarding this fine blend - check out the reviews on tobaccoreviews.com

C&D is your playground. C&D is to burley what McClelland was to Virginias. C&D uses burley as a base, as a condiment, in English and Balkan, and straight up. Also try D&R, Tabac-Manil Semois, Amphora Burley, Granger, and Peterson 3P and Irish Flake, and so many more. C&D took burley from a stalwart old over-the-counter leaf and codger staple to a real blending tobacco in many artful forms. I like their English with burley blends like Stratfordshire, Tuggle Hall, and Bayou Night.

It’s so strange how burley can be the mildest of tobaccos or the stoutest! There have been so many great blends mentioned which tin the gamut of strength and intensity. As @mso489 mentioned C&D’s old catalogue blends are very burley rich and vary greatly.

GL Pease Barbary Coast and Cumberland would also be worth checking out IMHO.

I haven't had Uhle's Blend 00, but I do really like Uhle's Crushed White Burley. It was the blend that helped me understand burley and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Just getting into some burely myself. I always have liked Old Dark Fired, Best Brown # 2 and dark flake stuff. But not much more. I bought 6 or so tins. I LOVE Solani Aged Burley Flake. Oak Alley isn’t a burely but partially. It’s been good to me too. Old Joe Krantz hits the spot sometimes. I’m mostly a Virginia and Balkan guy but starting to really expand my horizons in burley. Lots of diff types of burley. Haunted book shop is so so different from Solani Aged Burley flake for instance.

++ the Mac Baren London Blend burley, very nice. Also Ken Byron Ventures makes a Burley Morning that is very good with morning coffee. I think he infuses the burley with coffee but don't hold me to that. It leaves a bit of goop in the bowl but nothing a swipe with a paper towel can't fix. YMMV
