Hello and good evening.
Sitting here thinking about all the pipe stems that could use a buff or minor sanding/buffing.
Is there a man, a dude, does just stems? Like I can mail him 10 stems and pay X?
It's been a long week and I am just thinking out loud sitting here
Cheers, hope you are having a bowl and it's a Virginia flake too.
CB.

I have a bottle of Flitz that I've been meaning to use. Last stem I try to clean came out dull grey/green. Yeah, bulk cleaning would be a great idea, if someone's willing x)

I don't know of anyone who works that way. For one thing, buffing a stem off of the pipe risks rounding the edge of the stem where it meets the shank. Cleaning and polishing a stem doesn't require you to own a buffer. You can do the work with a set of micromesh pads that will bring your stem to a mirror like polish as you work through the various grits. Place a washer over the tenon and reattach the stem to the shank. That way you can polish up the stem without rounding the end. I use the micromesh to remove oxidation and/or mouth crud and then do a final polish with Simichrome polish.

Just wanted to add, if your stems are all “freehand” style, then you probably could send just the stems.
