It would seem that not smoking a pipe due to the impression it makes on you is high praise. I don't have the money, but if ever I did I would undoubtedly buy more pipes just to look at, and not smoke any of them.

In this effort I would readily find help from our friends at SP.com., Blue Room Briars, Al Pascia, etc., etc.

I hear they are called pipe stores. I would investigate.

I can understand your reluctance to smoke it as I would be very nervous about it, also. Looks to big to have an enjoyable smoke.

Looks to big to have an enjoyable smoke.

I couldn't imagine smoking a pipe with less than a 44mm depth chamber. A smoke less than an hour or more just wouldn't be worth it.

That beautiful artisan pipe has the same basic shape as the Savinelli 904s that you collect but the angles are much more severe, making it more active. The blast is beautiful as well as the multi-tone stain.

Still a beautiful pipe, but the bit is impossible. In my mind comfort rules. If the design mandates such a bit, change the design.

There are those occasions when you have a really complex problem or project, and this pipe will serve you excellently well while you brood and ponder and get struck by incredibly incisive ideas. However, who ever said you must smoke a bowl all at once? With larger pipes, and even medium or smaller pipes, sometimes life just wants me to take it in increments. Smoking a bowl on five different occasions, with no need to pack or clean the pipe until the bowl is done, is perfectly honorable. I say, smoke away!

Not just honorable, but sometimes better! I do it with my magnums all the time. Wouldn’t let it go past two days though.

It started as an Autumn pipe, but quickly went full on trick or treat. Loved the way it worked out!

A very logical way to look at it, and sensible too! I will make it my Contemplative Pipe. Now, I just need to fashion some sort of conveyance for it.
