I’m very sad to hear of his passing. Unfortunately I only purchased one of his pipes. However that pipe gave me the opportunity to meet Bruce as he lived close by and he delivered the pipe personally to my home. We have definitely lost a true gentleman. May he Rest In Peace.

I've admired his work for years. Out of my price range to be sure, but Lord, what a craftsman.
Embers, that's a lovely picture. Mr. Weaver wore his years well.
We'll all mourn his passing.

My condolences to family and friends, and a bravo for one who enjoyed a golden age in American pipe carving when his talent could bloom and flourish.

I am new here, but no kiddo, am most sorry to hear of this loss. These days, we lose too many really good people. As I get older, I lose more and more.

If some of you would be kind enough to post pix of a few of his Pipes, I know I would love to see them!
Most Sincerely,

Very sad news.
Here is my Bruce Weaver. It doesn’t have the stacked rings of sandblasted grain that he is famous for, but I read in an interview that he himself preferred a more vertical orientation of the grain with the birdseye showing, which is what this pipe has.

Oh man, he really was a genius. Those Pipes are works of art!!

Guys, are we losing these kinds of Craftsman?

I checked out his site and it still has some pipes for sale...

When he retired he gave those away. If you'll notice in the pic that I posted, the small red dublin and long shanked acorn in my collection are still listed for sale on his site.
