A visual artist who veered into pipe making and smoked a pipe all day. He made pipes for himself, but also is said to have fallen in love with some of his finished work that he then kept for himself. His work was definitely high end, from about USD 500 to thousands. His personal stable was said to be about 150 pipes, which to the non-pipe smoker probably sounds like a lot, but to Forums members sounds like the exercise of great restraint. His name is fun to say. RIP Baldo Baldi.
Take your hats off, gents...
He was definitely a very sculptural pipemaker. RIP

I like those a lot. Talented pipe maker. Like often with art I can't put my finger on the magical line between garish and sublime but I can see which side of that line something falls.
