Thanks guys, it's pretty satisfying having them all together, and available for use! Here's a little back story on a few.
The GBD 9242 was my first "oh my" pipe when I saw that shape on GLP's page. I knew it's cousin the 9438 would be more attainable and indeed, a few years down the road, I have a seven day set of 9438's as well in various finishes. The Virgin is probably the nicest of that bunch. This summer, I finally found a 9242 that wasn't sky high in price. It is slightly smaller than the robust 9438's and truth by told, the 9438 is probably the better smoker of those two. The 9242 was a pretty well worn piece, but it came out nicely.
The 1930's era 499 Extraordinaire was a true Grail piece that I never thought would be attainable. A friend on the SmokersForums was getting out of pipes and offered that one to me. It's probably my most cherished piece and came to me in that condition. It's cousin, the 498 was a lucky strike on Ebay, when a seller accepted my offer just as it was listed. I just missed a Sandblast 499 Extraordinaire at the Richmond show this year. Forum member Andy C (doctwatson) had just sold this piece minutes before I walked up to his table....
Of the group the 284 is probably the finest smoking piece and the most graceful. That was also a lucky strike when an Ebay seller accepted my offer. I would not have been able to compete in price had it gone to full auction as I can't recall the last time I saw a 284 on Ebay.
@jguss: I haven't really searched for a Barlings and most of the shapes available seem to be straight pipes. I definitely wouldn't mind a Bulldog like this one from Neill's collection...
