Hi Guys,
Sorry I just saw this thread. The Brigham Legend Series is a re-branded series that was once exclusively sold in Canada. Prior to bringing it into the states we made the changes to the labels and the blend names so that the line would be acceptable on both sides of the border. The new labeling is going through the approval process in Canada now. The tobacco is the D-Series that has been available in Canada just, re-branded. Each of the 8 blends in the line are unique and blended for us in Germany by Reiner Will.
I hope that clears up any confusion.
Thanks,
Brian
PS: I can tell you the product that is available now has been in the tin already for over two years and stored in our climate controlled building. You can consider it "pre-aged".

Well I'll be honest, this is a bit frustrating, I think we were all under the impression this was a new line of tobaccos, when in reality they are relabeled blends that are 10 minutes across town from me. Still cheaper online though, ha.

Brian:

I am a little disappointed that these are just re-brands of existing tobaccos. As Loseth mentions, I think we were all expecting a new line of tobaccos with a new flavour profile. Can you match old names with new instead of just flavour descriptions? In other words, can you tell us what the Legend Lines corresponding old names are?

Thanks a lot for the information Brian.
I don't think it matters that these are re-branded tobaccos. They are, to my tastes at least, a high qulity toabcco. I have tried the Acadian Blend, and it is a nice mild spicy / peppery smoke with a wonderfuly fruity tin aroma. I also have some of the Klondike Gold in the cellar I'm waiting to try.
Thanks again for the info.

Shutterbug,
They are:
Flake = Klondike

Rise & Shine = Maritime

Days End = Aurora

The Mixture = Heritage

Yacht Club = Hudson's Bay

Tudor = Acadian
And then you will see King St. and Ripley Ave. starting to trickle out in the US shortly. The big roll out will be in two weeks at the annual IPCPR Trade Show.
