I swear those pictures looked good on my little phone screen before I posted them... It's a good thing I don't try to make a living via photography.
As for how long it took, I think it was a few weeks, but not sure. I had them shipped to my hose with my family while I was away for work, I just returned home earlier than expected and opened the package due to my uncle passing away on the day after Christmas. That's another reason I'm not going to circle around setting up/finding lighting and backdrops and stuff so y'all can get a wonderful picture. If you want to send me a check with a photographers wage, PM and we'll negotiate. I actually enjoy typing/writing/journaling, so otherwise I'll stick to that only right now.
As far as being satisfied, I did not intend to seem dissatisfied, but see how that could be perceived. I am truly satisfied with what I paid for the repair, and was happy to open it and have a smoke in the poor lighting of my porch after my long drive. I will admit that I expected no gaps, but I understand how much time it takes to make it more near to perfect. I have made a couple test/fun stems myself using my 3-D printer for the "blanks" and spent way more than $40 worth of time achieving zero-gap. A guy's gotta make a fair wage.
My intent with this post was to share a reasonable experience, and in doing it manage other's expectations so they may be more satisfied with their own repairs when they receive them, even if they don't meet those pesky expectations. Oh, and also to showcase my photography skills, obviously.
