Old Fox isn't for me (too much burley) but I have to agree that crumble cakes are very convenient.

Haha yeah that’s actually not a terribly bad way of describing it.
It took me a while. I didn't like it much to begin with, because I thought that Briar Fox was going to be more of a Virginia blend. But, I eventually came around to it, and I keep quite a bit of it cellared back.
Whenever I get a new pipe, brand new or estate, I always break them in with Briar Fox. Briar Fox is tasty, but just boring enough for me to assess whether the pipe will be a good smoker or not and it helps helps to discern any ghosts that might be haunting an estate pipe.
Alright, enjoying another bowl while working, and had another thought... This tobacco seems like it will pair with just about anything. Enjoying a cup of tea now, but had a Belgian beer the other night: it seems to impart creaminess without overpowering whatever it is you're enjoying... Oh goodness, I think I'm going to end up cellaring more... The burn is so perfect!
Glad it's working for you! It's a great cut for sure, very easy to load and burn.
So, this thread may have inspired my first purchase of Briar Fox ...aaaaand the tin is almost gone already. I have a couple more coming, but might need a brick ...I have loved C&D for years and slept on this blend. It reminds me of Yorktown with some burley...but, overall, this stuff is so cool; it's a totally 'natural' blend w no 'toppings' but has a definite, unique taste imo -- can't ask for much more!
