For those of you who do watch the odd video on youtube, I thought I would draw your attention to a channel recently started by Mike at BriarBlues. Mike is a very knowledgeable guy and you may find his some of his programming interesting:

Great videos.
Funny thing, I was just looking at their website and thinking about what great pipe photography they have featured there. The site is a pleasure to look at.

I've been watching Mike's channel for several months now. He puts out consistently good content almost daily. I even had the pleasure to meet Mike at my NW Pipe Meet Up back in July. Very cool guy. Definitely a channel worth watching.

Good stuff. Relatively high signal to noise ratio here.
Love his mantel piece, and wonder if there's a door behind the decorative sheet behind him. And what Impressionist does the artwork most resemble? Not quite Cubist, but....?

Nice videos. My first ever youtube subscription. He has a nice, short video defining pipe "bend" designation I found helpful.

Peck - Thanks for posting the link to the BB Channel.
Thanks to all for the kind words.
Metalhead - not sure how "cool" I am.
jpmcwjr - I do not understand . High signal noise? The audio on most of the early videos was terrible and very challenging to correct. I think over the past 2 weeks it is better, but I am still trying to get that portion down crisp and clean. Behind the tapestry is a double door which leads to the photography / pipe inventory room. Very few people have been invited within. Non invited "guests" would be greeted by Amira, our Dogo Argentino / Pitty cross. I have no idea about the artwork. It was just something I picked up to use as a backdrop.
I am not an expert on anything pipes or tobacco. I have a camera, a big mouth, and lots of opinions. The BB Channel, I hope is a place for sharing information. Hopefully it does that, at times is humorous, and on occasion it will rattle a few cages. I welcome comments, corrections, and critiques. I would like to see more discussions from viewers as well.
If you have any comments or critiques, please feel free to email me. mike@briarblues.com

By "high signal to noise" I meant to pay you a compliment on a high ratio of content vs., uh, non-content. Nothing to do with the technical aspect of voice recording and transmission, which I thought was also fine.
And love that mantel. Gesso on wood?
And you print wet these days? I built a darkroom back in 1969 when I started a job in Manhattan. Fond memories.

I understand now. Thanks. :)
No idea on the mantle. I assume wood. Tile around the wood burning fire place and on the floor. I rarely use it though, now that my furnace is fixed.
Sorry not a dark room. It is where I have my lights and table set up for shooting pipe images. I have not done any dark room work for 30 years. I doubt I'd remember how any more.
