I cannot promise that @ashdigger will not be sent to your house to play Yoko Ono records at a very high volume until you produce the box.

I’ll know who you are, I’ll know what you want. If you are looking to keep the Box, that’s a mistake. I have a very specific set of skills, and those skills have been honed over a long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you send the Box forward, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not persue you. But if you don’t, I will show up unannounced and expose you to Yoko.

Ha ha, motivation to get the box back in the mail... the moment you receive it, a serial killer is slowly sent to kill you, and the only way to have the killer called off, is to get the box back into the mail. Meanwhile, you get to sample many different kinds of delicious tobaccos. puffy
That at least sort of defines the "reasonable amount of time" deadline.

I'm in! Traditionally a recipient would have a two week period to explore the box before sending it on to the next person on the list. That would help keep wait times for those in line to a few months on average. "Reasonable amount of time" is a tad vague. Some could interpret that as "forever" being a reasonable amount of time and still be within the rules.

We have a few coders in out midst. Maybe one of these could create an assassin tracking app that gently encourages the current box holder to send it on.

Perhaps you could also summon PumpkinHead to finish off anyone not passing the box on in time.

I’ve never done anything like this but am interested. For those that have participated, how does one balance the giving and taking? I'm sure many of us want to be generous but may not have things that are wildly desirable. Is it pretty much give what you can and take what want but don't be a dick about it?

So cool to see box passes still happening! I participated in my first one in 2004, when I was still relatively new to pipe smoking. What a fun way to try a bunch of unfamiliar blends; I smoke some of those blends to this day, others I will never have to try again. :ROFLMAO: Since I'm still relatively new here, I'm not technically eligible, but that's fine this time around. I'll be happy to follow this thread.

BTW, I'm a member of a bicycle discussion forum that does the same thing, but with old bike parts and tools. That flat-rate box can get pretty heavy along the way!

I don't want to speak for the rule-makers (and will happily accept correction), but when I did box passes in the past, the general idea was that you would try a bit of whatever you wanted, but not take the remainder of anything unless it was almost gone, or if you could replace it with something equally cool.

The 10th Victim would work nicely
