I loved the Brown Bogie twist. The Condor was gone before it got here.Did anyone like the various brown twists and the Condor Plug I put in the box at inception to get things rolling.
They didn't make it to Franklin. Hopefully next go around.Has anyone tried the Fire Cured Virginias yet. I am curious to know what you think. Feel free to bust my balls if warranted, ha ha.
I have some plug and rope from the box that I'm working my way up to regarding strength & season.Did anyone like the various brown twists and the Condor Plug I put in the box at inception to get things rolling.
I've long wanted to try Condor but wonder to myself, what if I like this stuff? I'll never be able to obtain anymore, lol.I guess when it gets back to Box HQ I'll have to send a couple more Condor Plugs down. I think I also put in a tin of that Vertical Plug as well, either a 'Down Wind' or something with a similar name. Who would call a tobacco 'Down Wind'? You might as well have called it 'Interesting Guff Smell' or something equally weird. I swear the marketing department who thinks this stuff up are the same geniuses that thought calling a pipe lighter 'The Nimrod' was a great idea. In the U.K the word 'Nimrod' is another way of calling someone a retard or a cretin! You could see the adverts now. A 1950s gentlemen in a suit with a trilby lights his pipe whilst his friend looks approvingly on saying. 'Goodness James! Is that the new Ronson Butane Retard pipe lighter that's only 9 shillings and six pence?'.
Most generous of you @condorlover1.I'll send a couple more down to 'Control' and he can put them in the next box. You can buy it but it is not the Gallaghers Condor but the stuff made in Poland which I think tastes off since they are not using the African or what I call 'Empire Grown' leaf. A lot of the blends are using Eastern European leaf and it has started to creep into one or two of my favorites with the resulting collapse in flavor profiles.
I didn't realize there was an eastern European tobacco production. That's kinda cool.I'll send a couple more down to 'Control' and he can put them in the next box. Can you tell us what those EU rules are that played into the move?@btp79 : Due to some stupid EU rules the Gallagher factory moved production from Belfast in N.I to Poland. The plug is still manufactured but in Poland and doesn't taste anything like the Belfast version, I would refer you to Jim Inks comparison between the two offerings pre and post relocation to Poland. The R.R is also just not the same although @simong thinks the flake is sort of alright but still a few miles away from the 1980s flakes. If you were not around in the 1980s you will not notice the difference.
