I sent another pouch of Scarlet Begonias, which is my red Virginias made with cherry red variety.

Also a fire cured Virginia made with VA Gold, but cured in a makeshift smoker, adding a spicy zest. It would make a great blender, but I like the strength and full flavor. It is very similar to DFK, but sweeter and less smokey, because the bright leaf doesn’t absorb as much smoke.

Oh, and I got my first bowl from the box this morning : Carolina Red Flake (2020 IIRC)

Couldn't tell if the nic hit me more than usual or if it was the caffeine... I think it was the leaf

Tasty though in the second 1/2... right when I had to stop and get ready for my "real" work.

To continue on the sampling - I've now had:
Hal O' The Wind
Old Gowrie
Rouxgaroux

Really liked them, but maybe the Wind stood out the most for me.

Enjoying working my way through these samples for sure!

Curious if anyone here took the Paul Olsen blends I put in there and what you think of them. They were in black mylar with blue masking tape for labels.
