I find that's the one time that heavy nicotine means more to me then any other time. If I have to pick best food coma tobacco, high nic is the key factor for me. Semois is a great digestive.

For pipe tobacco, a mb: HH Pure Virginia, Navy Flake, for example. From an inexpensive Toscano Classico cigar, or a well aged, mature cigar.

Even as I trend 95/5 in favor of pipe smoking these days, after a big, heavy meal I prefer a cigar. I concur with the OP on PSD4 as a great choice but lean toward a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 as my preferred. Pipe wise, I’ll second the Key Largo recommendation and add G.L. Pease Kensington and Dunhill Durbar - if you can find some ?

I smoke moderately, a bowl or so a day, some days none, and I smoke a variety of strengths and genres. After a substantial meal, I find blends on the strong side most satisfying, often burley based or with burley as a condiment. Old Joe Krantz, Billy Budd, Tuggle Hall, for examples. Or I might choose a sturdy Virginia like Squadron Leader.
