If you had to pick 4 or 5 blends from Boswell's, what would they be and why? I will be stopping in next week while in the area for work and intend to pick up a few ounces to try out. I have been going to Chambersburg once a week for about 4 years and have never stepped foot in their door! But now that I am back to smoking and serious about it, I have been trying to experience as many house blends from my local B&M's.
*Edit* - Moved to Pipe Tobacco Discussion since this is more of a question about their blends rather than a review of them. -Jason

Big question: are you an aromatic, English or VA guy, etc?
My favorite English style blend is their "Magnum" (creamy, low lat lite English)
Northwoods, Country side and Railroad are also similar style blends.
A very mild aromatic, one I like (and I don't like aromatics typically) is Bear.

Hmmmm, now I may have to add some of their baccy to my tad list, I have many of their pipes and if that is anything to judge off of they must be great

The Matrix
English Blends:Northwoods & Countryside

Aro: x-mas cookie, sweet tea, berry cobbler, chocolate cream also hear good things about Pennsylvania Dutch Treat
And this new one: Sounds like it will be on my next TAD order

Piper's Pleasure- Aroma - one of the most important aspects of any smoking tobacco. Perfect burning quality. Rich flavors of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and a mild sweetness. A mild, slow burning, cool smoke.

I'll have to try Boswell tobacco's next time I order. Been trying some others that don't make the grade. The blends I buy have to be consistent within reason. Some aren't even close from one order to another.
I just received my first pound of Best of the Rest. I've heard it's pretty good. I'll let you know what I think after a couple bowls.

I really like the blends from Boswells, and I think over the years I've smoked them all

at one time or another. But here are my top 5....
Northwoods

Berry Cobbler

Boswells best

Raspberry creme

and the New one....Pipers pleasure!

I can't speak for many blends made by Boswells, but I can say that Northwoods is a top-shelf English blend that I think would be enjoyed both by experienced smokers and newbies. I just smoked my first bowl of Countryside and haven't quite made up my mind about it....
