So I told you guys the other day that I was on a hunt for a Boswell pipe with my income tax money. Thanks to studious members of this forum relating helpful suggestions, I have found that it really is quite easy to get a Boswell pipe. I called yesterday when the new pipes went up and got in touch with J.M. personally. I told him which pipes I liked but they were sold already and he said "Well let's look and see if we can't find you something pretty close." He quoted me prices and described each pipe in great detail and offered for his wife to send me pictures and prices on pipes that I was interested in. After a lot of chatting and a lot of emailing pictures, I am the proud owner of not 1, but 2 brand new Boswell pipes. J.M and I chatted on the phone for quite a long time about breaking in new pipes, smoking qualities of the Boswell pipes, then he asked me which tobacco samples I wanted, which got us off another tangent and ended in him throwing in an extra 1 oz. sample of tobacco at no extra charge. Everyone at the shop was incredibly pleasant and very friendly and they are all class acts. J.M. made it a point to tell me several times while I was talking to him, "I want you to make sure you get exactly what you want. I'm not happy if you're not happy." If any of you guys have the cash (which prices are very fair by the way), you owe it to yourself to call Boswells and get yourself a pipe. It really isn't as difficult as everyone makes it seem, and the experience couldnt be any more pleasant. Thank goodness someone still does business the right way. My hats off to the people at Boswells for making sure their customers really do come first.
