Bo's Shapes...

There will always be discussion over Bo's signature shapes that will continue

for a long time. Some contend that practically, all modern freehand pipe

shapes take their lineage from Bo's work. Generally, the Sphinx, Ballerina,

Ramses, Nut, Iron, Horn, Elephant Foot, Long horn, Fat Apple with Wide

Sloping Down Rim, Nautilus and Ramses are agreed on as belonging to Bo.

I have always felt his horns were the most elegant expression of that pipe form ever made. All his pipes have a natural flow and energy. The eye follows the shape and it is a natural form.
Truly, the pipe as art is at its highest form in a Bo Nordh creation.

My personal favorite shape of Bo's is the Ramses, but this isn't

intended to diminish any of his shapes. The guy really was in a

class by himself.

I agree Fred, the Ramses remains his most distinctive shape and one that will always be associated with him.
