Hi folks,
As a new pipe smoker i've been trying a few bits to see what i like, and Bob's is the closest i've found to a regular smoke. I wonder what else is in a similar vein? Ideally i'm looking for something smooth but still tasty and less floral.

Aside from Bob's i've tried a few things i like, but veer towards the darker side rather than aromatics.
Any suggestioms please?

Thanks! My local tobacconist doesn't stock it, but i'm in the UK, so they should be able to get it i think. I'll definitely try it.

Try "for meerschaums only" by Steven Books. You don't have to have a meer but it is a tobacco that is good for coloring one. This tobacco reminded me of my favorite cigar which I can't get in the US. It is very good and you can buy it by the ounce. Google House of Calabash that is their business name or Steven Books. "Grandfather's Blend" is a good one too, it has a hint of chocolate, but it is subtle and goes great with a cup of coffee.
