It depends where you are. The one on I 45 near Huntsville between Dallas and Houston is mobbed. The one on 290 between Houston and College Station is reasonable. They’re going to put one on I 35W south of Ft Worth. They used to have great canned peanuts, but they discontinued them. Kolaches are pretty good.
I've yet to encounter one on our trip to New Orleans (from MD) We just miss one traveling to Memphis and/or Nashville on the way home. My daughter and husband drove out of their way to visit one in Memphis a few months ago. Apparently, it is a real spectacle. On the East Coast, the biggest we have is Wawa/Sheetz or Royal Farms.
It works. Friends are texting and calling asking us to bring them things from Buc-ee’s on our way home. I want to try the brisket sandwich.
admit it though that's got nothing to do with this thread. It's got more to do with how we've been slowly and systematically chipping away at your sanity.
