I finally cracked open my tin this morning, hint of latakia, notreally getting Chocolate except as a slight after taste. I'm guessing this is what a broken flake is, so I just folded and stuffed the baccy in. For those more experienced than I, is this the best method? So far this is a pleasant if unremarkable smoke so far.

Bob's Chocolate Flake is one of my favorite cold weather tobaccos so I smoke it often and keep a deep supply around. I buy it in bulk and in that form it's a flake although it falls apart easily. I am probably in the minority here but I prefer to rub it out a bit. I find it pretty moist so it does better if it's allowed to dry a bit.

I'm with you Wayne. I love this tobacco, of course being a chocoholic helps!!! I rub it out, let it dry a bit, and always keep a couple pounds stashed away. We are so lucky to be able to get these fine tobaccos from Great Britain. The more you smoke this stuff, the more the flavor surfaces, not overpowering, but smooth and aromatic. :puffy:

I'm nearing the bottom of the bowl and the flavors are developing nicely at this point. May have to pickup a few more tins, but I'll smoke a few more bowls before I de.

Yeah buddy. It's one of those tobaccos that gets better as your palate becomes more familiar with it. And, you're right, it pairs great with coffee.

Thanks for the input Wayne, my palate is just developing now. Started with the typical aros, still enjoy some of the better ones, but I'm branching out and I find this one very intriguing.

I've smoked multiple tins of BCF and never caught any hint of the Lakeland aroma/flavor. Just pure tobacco with a hint of cocoa.
I'm wondering if it comes in two varieties, as some of the GH blends do. . . ? One "with" and one "without"?
