Kramer's Blend For Cary Grant has become a "Blend That Never Fails," for me. Smokes great, just about perfect fresh out of the tin although I still let it sit for a bit before packing, wonderful flavor and few relights. It's been a bit bitey the last few times I've smoked it, but that's only after getting over that nasty flu that's been going around. I'm certain once my body isn't so out of whack from that, it will go back to being a great smoke for me. A few others for me are McClelland Balkan Blue, Hearth & Home Black House (I need to remember to order more), Rattray's Bagpiper's Dream, and of course Cornell & Diehl Black Frigate. I know I'm leaving quite a few other great one's out, but these mentioned perform quite well for me.

hawky, you crack me up. You are such a Condor whore. Do you live in the UK?

Haha, I like it when you talk dirty to me, Harris. :nana: No man, I’m here in Texas but I am some what if an Anglophile, I certainly admire their tastes in tobacco.

Texas, where are you buying all your Condor? I actually like St Bruno Flake and have a bunch cellared. That is as heavy as I go with the Lakeland Essence. Condor is so far in the deep end from what I hear.

I spent all my pipe money importing Condor over here from Ireland over the past couple of years.
You might actually like Condor if you like St. Bruno, Condor is a bit more stout but both are winners in my book.

If you are looking for an easy burn, low maintenance type baccy while you work then I would 2nd the Prince Albert.

hawky, the last thing I need is to add another tobacco to my cellar, especially one that is a pain to get. I will live vicariously through you every time you smoke it.

My favorites are Virginia/VaPer Flakes as well. Dunhill Early Morning Pipe is my go to for an easy going smoke. It is sweeter and softer than Nightcap.

All my favorites have been listed. The key with the SG flakes is getting the moisture right. I hated FVF until a member here told me to let it dry out for about 5 hours. The difference was damned near magical. With almost all of the above mentioned flakes, the best results come when you let the flakes dry out until almost bone dry. Dry to the touch when lightly squeezed, but still pliant.

Haunted Bookshop, Haddo's Delight, Barbary Coast, GH&Co RumFlake, Dreams of Kadath, and Charing Cross.
That's today, tomorrow it will change. But Haunted Bookshop would still be in the list.

All good choices, whereas when I'm at work I prefer smoking easy burning medium strength burley forward blends, such as Amphora Regular,Mc Barens Golden extra.Semois de Belge, nonetheless If I was smoking outdoors, stronger flakes might be my choice as well.
